We are seeking an experienced Product Owner specialized in the Loan domain to join our team. This role will focus exclusively on developing and enhancing loan-related modules within our platform. As a Product Owner at Fimple, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our loan solutions to meet customer requirements and industry standards, ensuring excellence from conception to delivery.

What Will The Right Person Look Like?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in financial services software as an analyst or Product Owner, specifically in Loan Management Systems or Loan Origination Systems.
  • Deep understanding of credit processes, loan workflows, and regulatory requirements in the banking industry.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, apply judgment, maintain stable performance under stress, and demonstrate flexibility in an evolving work environment.
  • Experience with Agile development and Scrum/Kanban processes, or an alternative SDLC management process.
  • Proven expertise in capturing functional requirements in the form of User Stories and Epics.
  • Experience with SaaS/cloud-hosted platforms utilizing service-oriented architecture and published APIs.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Collaborating with product managers, prospective users, and clients to understand and anticipate needs specific to the loan domain and translating them into detailed product requirements.
  • Defining the vision for loan modules and maintaining consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Developing a product roadmap tailored to loan-specific functionalities and workflows.
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing tasks based on evolving loan industry requirements and customer feedback.
  • Overseeing all stages of the product lifecycle for loan modules, including design, development, and release.
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress at each stage to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Working with the product team and end-users to deliver updates and enhancements aligned with the loan module’s strategic goals.
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and sprints to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Acting as the “single voice” for priority and acceptance of deliverables related to the loan domain.
  • Providing clear vision statements, direction, and goals specific to loan management features.
  • Maintaining a well-groomed Product Backlog for loan features based on business value.
  • Effectively coordinating and communicating with Product Managers and stakeholders to align loan module strategy with the broader product roadmap.
  • Building a strong understanding of loan-related functionalities, regulatory requirements, and deployment architecture.
  • Producing and maintaining product collateral, including release notes, user guides, product overviews, presales presentations, and roadmap updates related to loan modules.
  • Planning Scrum resources with R&D to achieve efficient delivery for loan-specific projects.
