We are seeking a Test Engineer & Application Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the functionality, integration, and performance of our banking applications, while also providing high-level technical support. You will work closely with our developers, business analysts, and first-level support teams to ensure our systems meet the highest quality standards.
What Will The Right Person Look Like?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in functional testing, particularly in banking or financial applications.
- Expertise in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts from detailed specifications.
- Strong knowledge of system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, defect tracking, and reporting tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, or similar).
- Experience with API testing, database validation, and front-end/back-end testing.
- Proficiency with SQL for writing queries to validate test results and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a focus on identifying edge cases.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Conduct detailed functional testing of banking applications, ensuring all features meet business requirements, technical specifications, and user expectations.
- Create and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on system requirements and business use cases.
- Perform system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing to verify software updates and patches.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, providing thorough root cause analysis and facilitating timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure accurate system implementation.
- Provide 2nd level support for banking applications, addressing technical issues escalated from the 1st level support team.
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex application issues, delivering timely solutions.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation and user manuals.
